One day interactive workshop. Animal Activities Licensing (AAL) regulations were enacted on 1st October 2018.  The following businesses are required to hold at minimum a nationally accredited Level 2 qualification such as this at the point of new or renewed licensing: –

  • Commercial Dog Boarding – Kennels
  • Commercial Cat Boarding – Catteries
  • Commercial Home Boarding
  • Commercial Dog Day Care
  • Commercial Pet Vending
  • Commercial Dog Breeding
  • Animal Exhibits

There is no prerequisite qualification required to attend this course

  • How to Collect/ Collate Client Information
  • How to Plan for Individual Clients
  • Animal Behaviour
  • Signs of Normal and Ill Health in an Animal

  • Potential Problems or Emergencies whilst Dog Walking
  • Basic Pet First Aid & Bandaging

Certification on course completion

The certificate requires participation in a theory and practical workshop. Knowledge will be assessed through homework prior to the assessment day, oral questioning and practical observation.
