Liza is a successful groomer and business person willing to share her knowledge with private or corporate customers. We only train a maximum of two people from the same establishment at one time, ensuring a safe environment for you and the animals in your care, maximising learning and the quantity of learning that one student can digest in the shortest time. This helps enhance the quality of the training we deliver and ensures you succeed in your own personal goals at your own pace.

Heavenlyz Grooming Training Centre reflects the real world - you will become a part of our busy environment, an aspect which separates us from colleges as we provide you with a true to life experience, showing you the whole picture of your new career.

Our students come from all walks of life, both male and female, and we have taught ages from 16 to the over 60's.

Training is kept safe but light hearted and fun. You need to keep your sense of humour when working with animals.

All of our Training Courses include.

  • Private tuition
  • Training hand outs on topic covered
  • Loan of all protective clothing and equipment for the duration of the course

Once applications are received, Liza phones to discuss your own personal requirements and intentions and then tailors the course to fit you as a individual. Course requirements depend on your personal background. Obviously if you are used to being in the company of and handling many animals, you may progress at a quicker rate than others. Ultimately, Liza will drive at your pace.

If you are a pet owner, simply wanting to learn how to groom your own pet, then a one day course is recommended for you.

If you're wishing to change career and become a groomer, then a minimum of 40 hours learning time is recommended, equivalent to ten days

Grooming is a very tiring activity and, if done correctly, will tax most people both mentally and physically. Liza's experience has shown that most students work well and able to concentrate for a maximum period of four hours. However, due to the one-to-one learning environment you are likely to cover a vast mass of grooming subject matter whilst learning 'hands on'.

Pictured below is one of our students Amanda, from North Levington Kennels, Nottingham, after studying on our ten day course went on to help set up 'The Dog Matters' grooming salon on the kennel premises.

No book or video can provide you with the same experience.
